Welsh professional football star Gareth Bale has reportedly told reigning Spanish and European League champions Real Madrid that he is on his way to Premier League side Manchester United.
The former Tottenham star has been a long term target for Manchester United, but the 28-year-old has twice rejected a move to Old Trafford.
According to the report by Express Sports, Manchester United are hopeful of signing of signing Gareth Bale this weekend.
Last season, Gareth Bale was a key part of Real Madrid side that won the Spanish League and the UEFA Champions League under Frenchman Zinedine Zidane.
But the forward has struggled at the Bernabeu in the past 4 months and Real Madrid are said to be tired of his injury problems.
Gareth Bale is also said to have held a secret meeting with Manchester United chiefs for a possible move to Old Trafford.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how reigning Spanish and European League champions Real Madrid confirmed that none of their players will face the exit doors in the January 2018 transfer.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane was responding to the speculation of winger Gareth Bale leaving the club next year.
There have been reports that Real Madrid want to sell the player in January 2018 following a spate of injury problems and Manchester United are said to be interested in signing him.
