Breaking Down the 2018 Grammy Awards By the Numbers: Second-Time Hosts, Leading Nominees and More

Yes, the 2018 Grammy Awards are just around the corner, uniting artists across all genres in New York City's Madison Square Garden—where the show hasn't been held in more than 15 years.

It's bound to be a fun-filled night as James Corden will take the stage to host for the second year in a row, and stars like Miley Cyrus and Elton John are set to perform.
Jay-Z leads the nominees with a total of eight nominations, and following closely him, Kendrick Lamar received seven nominations, while Bruno Mars saw six.

This year's show marks the 60th annual Grammy Awards. It aired for the first time in 1959.

It will air live from New York City Madison Square Garden for the first time in 15 years.

It was previously held at the Los Angeles Staples Center.

Jay-Z is the most nominated artist of the night. He received a total of 8 nominations. After dropping "4:44" last year. He earned nods in categories like: Album of the year, Record of the year and Song of the year. Hova has earned 21 Grammy Awards throughout his career. And since we know you are wondering, Beyonce has taken home 22.
Following Jay-Z, Kendrick Larmar saw & nominations this year. And Bruno Mars recieved 6. 
 
All three artist are up for Album Of The Year.

SZA is the most nominated female artist of the night with 5 nominations. She received nods in categories like Best New Artist, Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best R&B Song for her hit "Supermodel"
With 27 wins under her belt, Alison Krauss is the female artist with the most Grammy Awards. The country singer is up for 2 more awards this year. Best Solo Country Performance And Best American Roots Performance.
